* #7 Create a blog post about anything technology-related that interests you this week

Wimba is a tool used in conjunction with programs such as Blackboard. It has been dubbed the virtual classroom, but it's possibilities seem to suggest it is more than that. Users sign in and are able to communicate through a mic, typed test, as well as an area where a powerpoint presentation can be displayed. Users are also able to post pictures and use a tool in which they can draw on the screen.

You have the ability to record a session on Wimba (voice, text, powerpoint, etc) which might be a good way to archive YART meetings to look back at or to share with those who could not make it to the meetings.

If that sounds interesting to you you should check out the link below for more information . It goes into greater detail.

In this picture, of me and my rabbit, I have used some of Flckrs tools. I uploaded the picture. I then took care of the "red eye" problem with the rabbit. I also cropped the picture. I added some tags including "michael" "rabbit"" Misty" and "Hop". I used the note feature to clear up the confusion about which was the rabbit and which was the human. It took less than 5 minutes. As you can see I sent this Photo from Flckr to My Blog .

This is a photograph by a Mr. Roy Lister. He entered this photograph in for the Salisbury Library Photo Contest. There were numerous entries from numerous people. I found this particular set when I did a search for libraries. Participents could enter pictures to Flckr and a winner was determined by votes. Also it was possible for the photographers to add comments to this picture. Those that view the picture and have a Flckr account able to comment on this photo.
I have done photo contest in the past, but I am glad that I have seen how you can use Flckr in order to organize things easily and make them accesible to a wider audience.
